I can confirm I have had the pleasure of knowing Captain Simon Johnson for several recent years through his position as master of a client’s high speed, waterjet-propelled, yacht. Captain Johnson is clearly very bright, gregarious, and personable. I have noted he always seems to be diligent and organized when observed on board his vessel, in managing his crew and diligently documenting written operating and maintenance procedures, record keeping and administrative tasks in general, and in other communications. He also appeared capable in manoeuvring the vessel in question, and I suspect his apparent seamanship skills and other abilities, stem from considerable experience in a variety of different yachts, waters, and conditions , and which has beneficially included time spent under sail.
